Case Study: Sweeper for Kubota F Series

Many parks teams, large sites and councils run outfront mowers on their fleet, and the Kubota F-Series has been one of the most popular over the last few years. It is often heavily utilised for mowing in the summer, as it can get large areas done quickly. However, one common complaint is that our customers want to do more with their mower through the rest of the year.

Great news - pull your F-series out of the shed, because we have a great solution for sweeping and snow clearing in those quieter months.

The Kubota F series has a front PTO and a set of lift arms, which negates the need to buy an extra front linkage... The lift arms allow an implement to be raised and lowered easily from the seat. There is no hydraulics fitted to a standard F Series, so we needed to operate all the sweeper functions with the PTO. The KM45 Sweeper can be PTO powered and is kept nice and close to the tractor unit, making it easy to lift.

We can fit a 1.5m sweeper with a brush guard, or a collector box. If you are looking to use the collector box, you will need a hydraulic kit fitted from Kubota to open and close the box. Just be careful when filling the box, as it can get heavy for the machine. We do a narrower 1.3m Sweeper, which overcomes any weight issue if you will be collecting mud or grit.

The items used in this project for the Sweeper were as follows:

1. ABR 45 FM: Bracket for Front Mowers (2-point). Fits the sweeper directly to the Kubota F series.
2. KM 15045 M - ABR: 150cm Working Width, 45cm diameter Mechanically PTO driven Sweeper
3. GUSPL 15045: Front brush guard - 150cm to control debris discharge for sweepers
4. SSB 15045 K: Collector Box 150cm for KM45 Series Sweepers
5. ASH 4045 KM: Side Mechanical drive Gully Brush 40cm

The Kersten KM 15045 M is a Sweeper designed specifically for fitting to the front of compact tractors and outfront mowers. The sweeper is ideal for clearing light moss, sweeping mud, leaves and snow using its 5-row spiral brush.

The sweeper attaches directly to the existing mower linkage using the ABR 45 FM-KUB-F60 bracket. (No tools required).
